Class action alleges Sears misclassified employees as independent contractors

A class action filed in United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts alleges that Sears Logistics Services, Inc., and, Inc., misclassified its drivers (as independent contractors as opposed to employees) in an effort to avoid providing benefits and other rights.  Plaintiffs and the proposed class deliver furniture, appliances, and other goods to Sears' customers in Massachusetts and surrounding states.  The plaintiffs are represented by Lichten & Liss-Riordan, P.C., of Boston.
