Injured 12 year-old cheerleader files personal injury suit against coach and youth football league

According to the Connecticut Post, the parents of a twelve year-old girl filed a personal injury suit against her cheerleading coach and the youth football league (Wilton Youth Football, Inc.).  Her complaint alleges that the coach negligently permitted the cheerleaders to perform a maneuver called the "bucket toss," in which other cheerleaders threw the girl in the air.  The suit alleges that the coach knew or should have known that the skill required for the maneuver was beyond the skill level of the cheerleading team.  The girl, represented by attorney Mary Ann Connors, sustained a broken arm and elbow resulting in the arm being permanently fixed at a right angle.  For more information, please see the Connecticut Post article.
