The Smith Law Firm, LLC, announces that it filed a class action against World Acceptance Corporation (NASDAQ: WRLD)

On November 3, 2010, The Smith Law Firm, LLC, filed a lawsuit in St. Louis County Circuit Court against World Acceptance Corporation of Missouri, World Acceptance Corporation, and others.  The lawsuit alleges that the defendants conspired with an attorney and notary public to submit fraudulent documents in thousands of civil court proceedings throughout the State of Missouri.  The suit seeks class certification, declaratory relief, actual damages, reasonable attorney fees and $10 million in punitive damages.  The caption of the case is Rance H. World Acceptance Corporation, 10SL-CC04450.  World Acceptance Corporation is a South Carolina Corporation specializing in short-term ("payday") lending, and is publicly traded on the Nasdaq under the symbol WRLD.
